NEW CHAMPIONS!!!
Second and Third generation AKC champions
Homer and Wookie (and I) went to the big Toy Dog specialty in Wichita, KS in May. There were three shows following the specialty, and my dream was to finish the two of them, each needing only a single three point major, sometime during the big show weekend. Imagine my surprise, and pure delight, to finish them at the specialty the FIRST day, by going WD and WB/BOW under judge R. Ellen Fetter! It was a day not soon to be forgotten! Here are pictures from our big day.
2012 is proving to be a VERY good year for our Japanese Chin. Mia (Taichin Mia Bella) finished her AKC championship, winning her fourth major, under judge Darrel Vice at the Lake Mtka. KC shows in June. Mai Tai (Touche Triple Threat) got his second major at the same show, by going BOW/BOB. Mai Tai got his third major, by going WD/BOW/BOB, and the last points for his AKC championship, under judge Carolyn Herbel at the Key City KC show in August. WOW - what a summer!
Homer (CH. Touche Twice As Nice) has become a junior handler's dog! Our friend Madelyn is showing him in junior showmanship, and working toward his grand champion (GCH) title. Great job Madelyn and Homer!
Wookie (left) and Homer (right) achieved their championship titles on the same day, at the same show!
New champions Wookie (left), Homer (right), with judge R. Ellen Fetter, our good friend Rachel, and me!
Wookie finishes a great weekend by winning BOS under the Japanese judge on Sunday
Lacy, below, is a littermate to Mai Tai, and the younger sister of CH. Zena. She is also owned and shown by our good friend Dee. This picture of her, going WB/BOS over specials her first weekend in the ring, is the start of her show career. She now has 11 points with 3 majors in two weekends in the show ring! Congratulations Lacy and Dee!
NEWS!!! Lacy finishes her championship the day before she turns 15 months old by going BOS over specials for a 4 point major! Great job CH. Shadowland's Touche' Lagniappe (Lacy) and Dee!
